Life of Pi at Ahmanson Theatre

Many people know the story of Life of Pi through the movie. Director Ang Lee and his team did a fabulous job adapting the source material, which comes from the book by Yann Martel. Martel actually helped with the playwright for this show along with premier theater writer Lolita Chakrabarti. It's mainly about Pi's quest for actual survival, while trying not to lose his mind in the process. This allows the story to gravitate from his reality to his imagination. This musical is relatively recent; the first-ever official performance took place in 2019.
